McCall Reading Day is Friday, November 17th!
Each year McCall devotes an entire day to reading! The day begins with a funny skit performed by the McCall staff followed by read-aloud after read-aloud throughout the classrooms. Community members, parents, grandparents, and faculty all come together to make this an amazing experience for the students.
Would you like to be a guest reader at our annual McCall Reading Day? To sign up as a guest reader, please go to https://goo.gl/SMKCtK and add your name to the desired class schedule.
You may bring your own book or borrow one from the library. Just make sure you pick a book that is appropriate for your audience.

Meet Stacey Utley
Stacey Utley is originally from Brownwood, Texas, but she has lived in Weatherford for the past 14 years. She lives with her husband, Shane, and their 3 girls, Laedin, Jensyn, and Sawyer. She describes herself as loyal, easy going, and a family person. One of the proudest moments of her life was when she welcomed her 3 girls into the world. If you are around Stacey for very long, you will soon find out that ‘what you see is what you get.’ J Something many people don’t know about her is that she loves to play softball and hates roller-coasters. This is her 10th year at McCall and her 14th year as a kindergarten teacher. When she is working with kids, Stacey is passionate to provide a strong foundation for every child’s educational journey and to instill in them a love for learning. She believes that teaching is her ‘mission field’ and that God has put her in a place to love and serve the children and families of Aledo.
Meet Debbie Bennett
Debbie Bennett is originally from Oklahoma, but she has lived in Texas for the past 8 years. She lives with her husband, Kris, and her three daughters, Kennedy, Kate, and Klaire. She describes herself as creative, faithful, and optimistic. One of the proudest moments of her life was when her daughters watched her receive her master’s degree in May. If you are around Debbie for very long, you will soon find out that she is absolutely nuts about the Oklahoma Sooners. Something many people don’t know about her is that she has tremendous dancing skills. While she has taught everything from 1st grade to 8th grade, this is her 1st year at McCall and her 1st year in the position of librarian. When she is working with kids, Debbie strives to provide students with a place where they know they are loved, where their strengths are celebrated, and where they are pushed to become a better version of themselves.
